Write for us

Golden Football Guide welcomes pitches that make a football idea easier to see. Send proposals through the Contact page; a focused question and a clear explanation of why it matters are more useful than a broad offer to write about football.

Pitches we welcome

We are interested in reader-friendly explanations of tactics, team shapes, player roles, phases of play and recurring match patterns. A strong pitch names one subject, says what the reader will understand by the end and explains how the piece will make the idea visible. Keep the scope specific enough to handle without relying on predictions or sweeping claims.

What to include

Use the Contact page to send a short outline, your proposed working title and any relevant writing samples or experience you choose to share. Tell us whether the piece is an explanation, comparison, history or another format. Do not send confidential material or assume that a pitch has been accepted until a response confirms it.

Editorial fit

Submissions should be original, accurate, clearly written and open about uncertainty. We may edit accepted work for clarity, length and house style, with substantive changes discussed with the contributor. Do not submit material that depends on unsupported claims, copied work or undisclosed commercial promotion.
